To me, it was somewhat all over the place with no clear thesis even after the intro, the main themes of the book were all over the place. While trains get a brief aerotropklis, they’re apparently only useful for getting people to and from the airport. Serotropolis Memphis has a bunch of low-skill sorting jobs and is an ugly sprawling mess whereas Chicago and Los Angeles are high-skill job centers doesn’t convince me that Memphis got it right by being FedEx’s shipping point.
